Photographer
Our Photography Department (NLP) is looking to recruit photographers from a variety of backgrounds steaming from astro-photography to wedding photography to fill vacant contract positions. Jobs vary with location, time and environment, so your ability to adapt to different situations complimented with an easy-going and positive attitude is essential. We operate nationally and communication is usually via Internet, voice and data communications.
You must:
- have a passion for photography,
- be creative,
- have integrity and honesty to clients, staff and the public (a must),
- always smile and present yourself with positive energy,
- be able to make adhoc decisions (adaptability),
- have the ability to market yourself and the company,
- be able to travel to various locations within your zone,
- be fun and out-going and,
- have willingness to learn and teach others.
Job Description
As a photography you will be out and about, liaising and consulting the public in a broad range of photography services. Equipped with your camera and specialised visual aid equipment you will focus on the job at hand, which could vary from, environmental, landscape, family photos, wedding, studio work, underwater, extreme sport etc.
You will conduct work with minimal supervision. We allow our photographers to demonstrate their art skills through what they see through their camera lens, there perspective of reality.
Roles of the photographer include:
- conduct basic photography for use in further editing or publication,
- liaise with clients about various photo shoots,
- travelling to various location,
- field environmental study and analysis,
- conduct basic 2D graphic design utilising computer imaging software,
- assist the assistant supervising photographer and,
- travel to various location locally and around the country.
Equipment
You must supply your own equipment and be familiar with operating computer software. At times you may require some specialist equipment, if the logistics permit you may borrow them from the photography department, such item would includes flashes, lenses, stands etc.
Minimum equipment requirements:
- digital or Analogue SLR camera,
- 6 Mega-pixel or above,
- stand,
- Flash kit,
- memory cards,
- various lenses and,
- laptop or computer access
Pay and Conditions:
The position is currently by contract only, therefore we will be sourcing the jobs for you. Should you utilise the services of the foundation to promote and source your own work, then we expect that you go through the standard procedure of referring the jobs through to our administration. We operate on a honesty and integrity policy, so if you don’t value those qualities then we simply will not value you.
Pay
- you will receive 70% of profit after deductions
- the foundation will receive 30% after deductions
- deductions are costs of doing business e.g. printing, postage, travel etc.
- payment will be credited via bank transfer only
- payment to occur in fortnightly arrangements
- payment advice will be delivered by email
Conditions
- means of travel will be your responsible
- we will reimburse your travel arrangements through travel allowance
- if you are using the foundation to represent yourself, then the job must go through our administration
- private jobs are your business, however you cannot use any foundation resources, such as referring clients to check your portfolio on our website. It would be unfair that the foundation look after your administration and marketing needs and receive nothing. It would be a win-lose situation, therefore we will only target photography with high values of integrity and honesty.
- the foundation will cover all cost of printing, postage and administration that is required for the delivery of our products our clients.
- you must as soon as possible transfer of images as soon as humanely possible to either via postage or Internet.
